1) Rockland. In front of the First Unitarian Universalist Church (345 Broadway, Rockland) on Sunday mornings from 10:30-11:30 am. If you can’t make it to the pick-up while we are there, you can leave a cooler or a bag with your name on it in front of the church and we will pack your share in it for you to pick up later in the day. Or, if you can’t make it that day at all, you can pick up out of the walk-in fridge at the farm at another time or day.
2) Warren. On-farm pick-up at 1133 Finntown Road, Warren is on Monday or Thursday evenings from 5-6 pm. If you miss the pick-up time, your share will be held for you in our walk-in fridge through the end of the week.
3) Rockport. At Pen Bay Hospital on Tuesday afternoons from 3:30-5:15 pm, outside of the Café at the employee exit. If you miss the pick-up time your share will be held in the PBMC Café refrigerator through the end of the week.
What happens if I’m not able to pick up my share?
We always set aside some unclaimed shares in our walk-in fridge at the farm to be picked up later. If you’re out of town you can always send friends or family in your stead. Or, if you plan to be out of town and to not eat your veggies at all, we can donate them to a local food pantry for you. Just let us know what you prefer.
What is the benefit to picking up my share at the set time, instead of out of the walk-in fridge later on?
You not only get to talk with us about the farm and how to use your vegetables, you get free extras! In addition to the weekly share, CSA members are encouraged to take additional free vegetables from the Extras and Seconds table, as well as take advantage of periodic free Pick-Your-Own opportunities on the farm. These extras are only set out during the official CSA pick-up times. You can put food by for the whole year with the extra veggies!
