Hi CSAers –
I can’t believe that it’s the last week of the 2007 summer CSA! We had a wonderful season, and hope that you did, too. It’s hard to believe that Abby leaves the farm this Monday, and we will certainly miss her. But we feel very prepared for the fall and coming winter, much thanks to her hard work alongside us. The plastic is on the new greenhouse and salad greens are growing inside. The fall plantings of broccoli and cabbage will be soon ready for harvest, and we’ve finally caught up with our canning and freezing so that we really feel ready for the cold weather.
For those of you in the fall CSA, it will start right up next week. For those of you who reserved lamb, we expect to be delivering it next Friday, October 13th. And we hope to see you all on October 20th around noon, for food and garlic and cider! If it is bad weather, I will send out an email and will change the date to the following Saturday, the 27th. Please let me know if you’re planning on coming and if you need directions again!
Thanks so much, and we hope to see you all again next June! If you haven’t filled out the survey yet, we would appreciate it if you could do so. It will really help us in our planning for next season. If you have misplaced it, please email us, and we’ll send out a replacement.
Have a great winter, stay warm, and eat well!
Reba, Bill, & Eli
