So. Much. Good. Food. And the new pickup spot behind the church is working out just dandy. #calmbeforethestorm

Long day, long week, but still smiling. #cantfixwhatsnotbroken

Well the black flies seem to be receding a bit... now time for mosquitoes! This is what transplanting husk cherries and tomatillos with a stalwart crew in some insane bug conditions looks like. Can you even count all the mosquitoes on Thea’s hat?! It’s pretty special out there thanks to all this rain!

At 2pm today Bill was on the tractor prepping fields for next week’s transplants, Eli was setting up fencing for his soon-to-arrive piglets, and CJ was by my side for harvest — my Broccolini Baby. #csaweekone

Next to the entrance to the apprentice ell of our house, nestled on a deer skull that Maple dragged out of the woods last fall, a robin has built a nest and hatched her eggs. Now that apprentices have moved in and the entryway is in frequent use, it’s bound to be a less serene nursery. Hopefully these fledglings will be safely up and about soon. #feedmemom
