What an amazing day… and looking at the weather forecast, all I see is sunshine for the coming week! It’s wonderful!
Friday, April 26th at 7pm at the Good Tern Coop in Rockland, I’ll be giving a talk about the farm and how our produce gets from the farm to your table (along with a farmer from Oyster River Winegrowers and the produce manager for the Good Tern). You’ll get the “behind the scenes” tour of the produce department at the co-op and get to hear a bit about the history and practices at Hatchet Cove.
Saturday, April 27th at 10am at the farm (1133 Finntown Road, Warren), in the glorious sunshine (fingers crossed), Bill will be giving a farm tour. You can how and where we start seedlings, learn about how we construct our hoophouses, meet the cows (and the calf!), see where we wash and pack all your veggies, get your gardening questions answered, meet our awesome 2013 apprentices, and more.
These two events are are hosted by Georges River Land Trust (the land trust that holds the easement on our farm) and the Good Tern.
Let me know if you have any questions, and we hope to see you either or both events!

p.s. If you’ve been considering joining the CSA, the beef shares now have a wait list and we only have about thirty veggie shares remaining. There are still plenty of chicken, mushroom, cheese, egg, pork and oil & vinegar shares, though if you’ve been planning on joining it’s always better to do it sooner rather than later!
