It’s amazing that we’re nearly done with another season on the farm.  Although the fall CSA will continue for the next month, the end of the summer CSA is a big milestone for us.  We can stop for a minute, take a deep breath, thank all of you who played such a important role in the success of the farm this season, and then start planning for next year!

Apprentices and volunteers play a crucial role in making the farm a success, and we have two stellar apprentices finishing the season with us:  Angelica Demopoulos and Carolyn Niehaus.  Their hard work and good humor has helped make this season a real pleasure, even through the rain and the blight.  Carolyn has kept a blog for her family and friends of her experience at the farm.  If you want to take a sneak peek at the life of a HCF apprentice, visit http://whereintheworldiscarolyn.wordpress.com

Also, our neighbor Bob McLaughlin has come to volunteer nearly every day for the past few weeks.  It’s great to have him around, and we appreciate all he contributes to the farm!

If you haven’t yet filled out the CSA survey, we would really appreciate if you could take the time to do it.  Find it here, or at http://tinyurl.com/csamember.   Thank you!

We hope to see you all at next Saturday’s get-together at the farm.  For those of you who don’t make it, have a wonderful winter and we hope to see you again next season!

Happy eating,

Reba and the HCF crew
